Mera Peak climbing is a classic mountain adventure that takes you to the summit of the tallest trekking peak in the Himalayas of Nepal. Mera Peak is in the world renowned mountaineering destination of the Everest region. It is a part of the Mahalangur subrange of the Himalayas, which has three distinctive summits: Mera South (6,065 m), Mera Central (6,461 m) and Mera North (6,467 m). In our 18 day Mera Peak climbing itinerary, we will summit the Mera North Peak.

In recent years, the Mera Peak climb has become highly popular among climbers. It is well known as a practice peak in the Himalayas, offering preparatory climbs for mountaineers to enhance their skills and build confidence for future ascents. While Mera Peak may not be the most challenging mountain, it certainly is not the easiest either. Though this mountain mostly has straightforward climbing routes, there are a few technical sections as well. Trekking Equipment List (minimum):

Trekking / Hiking Boots / Climbing Boots (worn-in).

Camp Shoes / Sandals.

Trekking or duffle bag to carry trekking gear (provided by Climbing Mountains).

Trekking Pack – 65L+.

Trousers / Water Proof Gaiters.

1 Sleeping Bag (provided by Climbing Mountains if required).

1 Down Jacket (waterproof).

1 Light – water and wind proof Jacket.

2 Water bottles.

Head Torch Light / Flash light and spare batteries.

Long sleeve shirts.

1 Medium size towel.

1 Fleece / warm sweater.

Pairs of t-shirts.

Pairs of light and warm socks.

1 Warm Hat.
