Best of Peru: Lima, Cusco & Machu Picchu – Guided TREK (Mostly Inclusive)

Upon your arrival in the Peruvian capital, our team will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel and begin your experience. In the afternoon, we will explore the “City of Kings” on a tour that combines the grandeur of the historic center, with its colonial mansions and the imposing Plaza de Armas and the modernity of the residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, ending with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean from the Love Park (Parque del Amor).

We will depart very early towards the southern coast for a day full of contrasts. We will begin with a boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands in Paracas, where you will observe sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and the mysterious Candelabro geoglyph carved in the sand. Then, we will transfer to Ica to visit a traditional vineyard and taste pisco and wine, ending the afternoon at the Huacachina Oasis, where you will feel the adrenaline crossing the dunes in dune buggies and practicing sandboarding under the desert sun.

This day will be dedicated to your transfer to the Lima airport to board your flight to the imperial city of Cusco. Upon your arrival in the Andes, we will welcome you and accompany you to your hotel so you can rest and enjoy a comforting coca tea. You will have the rest of the day free to walk through the Plaza de Armas and begin to feel the magic of the Inca culture while your body adapts to the altitude.

We will explore the most exclusive corners of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit Chinchero and its textile centers, the agricultural laboratory of Moray with its impressive circular terraces, and the ancient Maras Salt Mines. After enjoying the local gastronomy, we will visit the living fortress of Ollantaytambo, a strategic site of Inca engineering, from where we will take the train that will lead us through the Urubamba canyon to the town of Aguas Calientes.

The highlight of the trip begins with a bus ascent to the majestic citadel of Machupicchu. Accompanied by our guide, you will tour the most important sectors of this world wonder, learning about its astronomy, spirituality, and architecture. After the visit, you will descend to the town to enjoy the local atmosphere before boarding the return train to the Ollantaytambo station, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.

We will head towards the Andes mountain range to conquer the famous Mountain of Seven Colors. It will be a challenging but rewarding hike, surrounded by high Andean landscapes, glaciers, and local fauna such as alpacas and llamas. Upon reaching the main viewpoint, you will witness a unique geological phenomenon in the world. After capturing the best photos, we will descend to enjoy a restorative lunch before returning to rest in the city of Cusco.

On our last day, we will take a tour of the city’s most emblematic places: the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha) and the imposing fortresses of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. This visit will allow you to understand the magnitude of Inca power before ending your journey. At the coordinated time, we will perform your final transfer to the Cusco airport for your departure flight.
