This self-guided trek follows the Nakahechi route through the lush, mist-shrouded Kii Mountains, leading to the three Grand Shrines of Kumano. Walk through ancient cedar forests, discover hidden Oji shrines, and relax in traditional onsens as you follow in the footsteps of emperors and samurai.
