Please note

  • Passport required.
  • Good hiking shoes that are worn in.
  • Trekking poles and Daypack (30 litres max).
  • Don’t underestimate the training (we will put together a fitness program).
  • Prepare for all seasons!

  • Trekking Daypack (Backpack) – 30 litres.
  • Pair of Trousers / Waterproof Gaiters.
  • 1 x Sleeping Bag.
  • 1 x Down Jacket.
  • 1 x Light – water and wind proof Jacket.
  • 2 x Water bottles minimum.
  • Torch Light / Flashlight and spare batteries.
  • Pairs of long sleeve cotton shirts.
  • 1 x Medium size towel.
  • 1 x Fleece / warm sweater.
  • Pairs of t-shirts.
  • Pairs of light and warm socks.
  • 1 x Warm Hat.
  • 1 x Sun Hat.
  • Sunglasses (glare).
  • Trekking Poles.
  • Personal toiletries – Soap / Shampoo / toilet paper etc.
  • Pills or tools for water disinfection.
  • Sunscreen for lips, exposed body parts and a handkerchief (Buff) – Dust Protection.
  • Money belt and personal first-aid kit.

  • Hiking boots.
  • Warm woll layers, Warm hat, glowes, mid layers. 
  • Sleeping bag and sleeping pad. (if not rented).
  • Personal toiletries.

  • Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat).
  • Reusable water bottle.
  • Mosquito net, mosquito balm.

Meeting Point

We meet at The Tide Stair (Tidevandstrappen) by the Harbour. Take the bus no. 2and get off at Qatserisut bus stop, and walk down to the Tide Stair by the harbour. Or take a taxi to the Tide Stair.

This trek is not for the faint of heart. It is a true wilderness adventure, where you’ll be navigating through untamed landscapes without established trails or paths. The only guides through this rugged terrain are the occasional reindeer paths, which can be challenging to follow. This journey requires experienced trekkers with good physical health and stamina, as you’ll be facing steep ascents, rocky outcrops, and unpredictable weather conditions. Prepare for a trek that demands grit and determination, where every step brings you deeper into the wild beauty of Greenland.
