- Torch Light / Flashlight and spare batteries.
- Pairs of long sleeve cotton shirts.

Tips and What to Know for Walking or Trekking Tours in Sri Lanka:
- Start Early: Mornings are cooler and offer clearer views, especially in hill country areas.
- Stay Hydrated: Carry plenty of water, especially for longer treks in warm or humid areas.
- Wear Proper Gear: Comfortable walking shoes, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and breathable clothing are essential.
- Weather Awareness: Rain is possible even during dry seasons, so pack a light rain jacket.
- Use a Guide or GPS: Trails can be unmarked in remote areas. A local guide or GPS navigation is highly recommended.
- Respect Nature: Stay on marked paths, don’t disturb wildlife, and avoid littering.
- Local Etiquette: Dress modestly when passing through villages and be respectful toward locals.
- Insect Protection: Use repellent, especially in forested or rural areas.
- Emergency Prep: Keep a small first-aid kit and know the local emergency numbers.
- Enjoy the Journey: Take your time to enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and local interactions trekking here is as much about the experience as the destination

Where Special requests Eg: Room locations, Interconnecting /Adjacent rooms, Double/Twin beds, Smoking rooms & nonsmoking rooms etc. are an important factor in the choice of holiday, please advise us when the booking is made. Mastercard/Visa payment has an additional 3.5% Fee on Total Amex payment has an additional 4% Fee on Total.
Important Note:
Unforeseen escalation in fuel prices, new taxes/ levies on hotels and transportation services or any hikes in entrance fees. Any large tax hikes and new levies shall be payable extra and shall be billed accordingly with reasonable prior notice.

Hotel Rules and Regulations:
Hotel Check in/Check out times are fixed and there is no guarantee for early/ late check in / out unless paid for.
Prohibition of Alcohol:
Please note alcohol will not be served in public areas in hotels and restaurants during religious holidays.
Attire:
When visiting religious places visitors of both genders have to wear decent clothing to cover the body appropriately. Shorts and sleeveless tops are not acceptable. This rule is strictly adhered to at all religious sites especially the Sacred Bo Tree and Stupas in Anuradhapura and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
Special Notes on Sightseeing:
Any entrance or sightseeing visits are subject to change of health & safety protocols issued by Sri Lankan Government & Health Authorities.
Note:
- Tour Minimum: Each tour requires a minimum of 2 participants. Single travelers in a single room incur a supplement.
- Optional Extra Nights: Guests can book a pre-night before the tour. Guests can book a post-night after the tour. Extra nights include breakfast.
- Airport Transfers: One airport transfer per tour is included. Additional or staggered flight arrivals may require extra transfers. Options for pick-up and drop-off with vehicles available.
- Tipping Recommendations: Tipping is recommended for guides and assistants. Suggested structure:
General (porters, toilets, safari jeeps, local guides, refreshments): USD 50 per person (per tour)
National guide: USD 6 per person per day
Driver & assistants: USD 4 per person per day - Hotel Reservations: Aim to reserve at least 5 rooms per tour date at specified hotels. If unavailable, similar level hotels will be booked.
- Final Rooming List: Room release and guest naming list must be finalized 35 days before arrival.
